Seek Jesus First
When Jesus tells us to 'seek first the kingdom of God,' (Matthew 6:33) he is inviting us to build our everyday lives on something solid and unshakable. Jesus shows us exactly what God is like. He is the image of the invisible God and the perfect expression of who God is. If you ever wonder, “What is God really like?" look at Jesus. The way he loves, forgives, welcomes, and speaks truth shows us God’s heart, because he is God Himself.
In a world that feels confusing and unstable, where plans fall apart and emotions rise and fall, Jesus never changes. He is steady, faithful, and trustworthy. He is the rock you can safely build your life on.
Jesus also loves people who feel broken, overlooked, or hurting. He didn’t come just for the popular or successful, he came for sinners, the weak, and the weary. He invites us to bring our burdens to him, promising rest and saying, “We’ll do this together.” Right now, he is interceding for you, praying for you and standing before the Father on your behalf.
Jesus is the way to real life, now and forever. There is no other worldview that can bring you to the fullness of life. Jesus is the only way. He lived, died, and rose again to save us from sin and death, taking our place. One day he will return, and there will be no more sorrow or pain. We will walk with him in a perfect world. That’s why seeking Jesus first changes everything.
