Servant King, Risen Lord – “He Is Not Here; He Has Risen, Just as He Said.”
Jesus redefined greatness long before the resurrection ever took place. He did not rule with force or demand recognition. He served. He lowered Himself. He washed feet, welcomed the overlooked, and gave His life for others. The King of Heaven chose humility, obedience, and sacrifice. His authority was expressed through love, not power.
The cross appeared to be the ultimate defeat. It looked like weakness. It looked like failure. But what seemed like the end was actually the fulfillment of everything Jesus had promised. The Servant King laid down His life, trusting the Father completely. His surrender was not accidental—it was intentional. And His obedience opened the door to resurrection.
The resurrection changed everything. The tomb was empty. Death was defeated. Hope was restored. Jesus rose just as He said He would, proving that His words can be trusted and His promises are secure. The risen Lord validated every claim He made and every invitation He extended. His resurrection confirmed that humility is not weakness and sacrifice is not loss.
The resurrection also reframes how we understand following Jesus. If the King serves, then His followers are called to do the same. If life comes through surrender, then obedience becomes an act of trust rather than obligation. The risen Lord invites us to live differently—to lead by serving, to give rather than grasp, and to trust God even when the path leads through sacrifice.
Jesus’ resurrection assures us that nothing surrendered to God is ever wasted. What looks like loss in the moment can become life on the other side. The Servant King shows us that God brings victory through obedience and renewal through surrender. When we follow Jesus, we are not choosing comfort—we are choosing life.
The risen Lord is not distant or removed. He is present, active, and victorious. His resurrection is not just a historical moment; it is a living reality that shapes our faith today. Because He lives, fear loses its grip. Because He lives, failure is not final. Because He lives, hope endures.
To follow a risen Savior is to trust Him with both our lives and our deaths—our beginnings and our endings. It is to believe that God is faithful to finish what He starts. The same power that raised Jesus from the grave is at work in those who follow Him. The Servant King now reigns as the Risen Lord.
He humbled Himself.
He kept His word.
He rose in victory.
And because He lives, we can live with confidence, purpose, and hope.
What does following a Servant King look like in your life right now?
