See. Believe. Worship. – “Do You Believe in the Son of Man?”
Jesus often asked questions that went deeper than information. His questions were invitations—moments that revealed what people truly believed. When He asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He wasn’t looking for a quick answer. He was inviting a response that would shape identity, faith, and devotion.
Seeing is often where the journey begins. Many people saw Jesus perform miracles, heard Him teach, and watched lives change around them. But seeing alone was never the goal. Seeing was meant to lead somewhere deeper. Jesus continually moved people from observation to belief. He wanted more than curiosity—He wanted trust.
Belief is more than agreement. It is a decision to place confidence in who Jesus is. Belief moves faith from the head to the heart. It shifts us from watching what God can do to trusting who He is. When belief takes root, it changes how we respond to Jesus. We no longer remain at a distance; we move closer.
But belief doesn’t end the journey. Belief leads to worship. Worship is the natural response of a heart that recognizes truth. It is not just singing or outward expression—it is surrender. Worship acknowledges that Jesus is not just someone we admire, but someone we follow. It is a declaration that He is worthy of our trust, our obedience, and our lives.
This progression—see, believe, worship—reveals how closeness to Jesus grows. When we stop at seeing, we remain observers. When we move into belief, our faith becomes personal. When belief turns into worship, our lives begin to realign around Jesus. Worship reshapes priorities, motives, and identity.
Jesus’ question still confronts us today. Do you believe in the Son of Man? Not just intellectually, but personally. Not just occasionally, but fully. Belief invites us to trust Jesus with more than our doubts—it invites us to trust Him with ourselves.
Worship flows from that trust. It expresses confidence in who Jesus is, even when circumstances are unclear. It chooses reverence over resistance and surrender over control. Worship anchors us when questions remain and reminds us that Jesus is worthy even when we don’t understand everything.
Seeing opens the door.
Belief steps through it.
Worship lives on the other side.
When we truly believe in the Son of Man, our response will always lead us closer—to faith that is alive, worship that is genuine, and a relationship that transforms us.
Where might Jesus be inviting you to move from simply seeing to truly believing—and responding in worship?
