Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- In verses 4-6 and 9-10, David described human behaviors that displease the heart of God. What are these actions, and what do they teach us about God’s will for our lives?
- In verses 7-8, how did God respond to David’s prayers? What does this reveal about the Lord’s heart towards you when you pray?
- What blessings did David end with in verses 11-12? How do these blessings restore hope and faith to you?
Pray and Apply:
Reflect on what you’re struggling with, frustrated by, or in need of in your life. Have you actively been praying to God, asking Him to take care of you, and waiting expectantly? What faith do you have that God will respond? Spend a few minutes praying to God about these areas of your life with the understanding (from Psalm 5) that you are loved by Him. He will lead you and make a way for you as you look to Him to take care of all you need. Ask the Holy Spirit to increase your faith and to let hope rise in your heart as you pray.

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
