Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- How did Jesus describe the actions of the religious scholars in verses 38-41? What did their actions reveal about their motives?
- In verse 41, what was Jesus doing at the temple? What does this teach you about God’s ability to see your offerings and sacrifices?
- Why did Jesus commend the poor widow’s offering?
Pray and Apply:
Reflect on what it means in your own life to give like the poor widow. How can you practice not just giving your money to God, but giving everything you have to God? What type of faith and devotion must this poor widow have to give the way that she does? How can you cultivate this same faith and devotion when it comes to the way you live generously toward God and others? Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you and enlarge your faith and trust in God’s provision and goodness to live with radical generosity.

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
