Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- In verse 24, what error did the Sadducees make? What does this show you about the power of knowing God’s Word and relying on the Holy Spirit?
- In verses 29-31, what did Jesus say were the greatest commandments? How do they sum up all the commandments?
- In verse 33, what did the religious scholar say was more important to God than sacrifices and burnt offerings?
- In verse 34, what did Jesus notice about the religious scholar’s reaction to His answer, and what did Jesus say in response?
Pray and Apply:
Reread verses 29-31. Jot your thoughts down in your Seek First Journal. Commit to meditating on and even memorizing these verses throughout the week. Take a few minutes in prayer to tell God how much you love Him. Be specific and pour out your heart to God. Give Him all of you as a loving reaction to His goodness. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to show your love for your neighbor this week.

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
