Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- When Jesus saw the crowd, how did He respond? How did this differ from the response of the tired disciples?
- How did Jesus respond to the disciples’ rebuttal to His command to feed the crowd in verse 37? What did He tell them to do? Have you ever responded to Jesus’ direction in your life like the disciples did? How does Jesus respond to your excuses or reasons when you believe something is impossible to achieve?
- How did Jesus multiply the food? How does this symbolize the great sacrifice Jesus would make in His broken body on the cross?
- Were there leftovers? What did this teach the disciples about what to expect from God?
Pray and Apply:
Is there an area in your life that doesn’t feel like you have enough to meet a need or make a difference? Ask God to show you what you do have. Make a list in your Seek First Journal of what you do have, then take a couple of minutes to pray. Submit what you have to Jesus by asking Him to bless it and do exceedingly more with it than what you could have ever imagined!

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
