The story of Christmas begins with grace — not sentiment, but salvation. Titus reminds us that the grace of God has “appeared,” taking on flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. Humanity, bound by sin and unable to free itself, had been pining for rescue. But when Jesus came, He brought not only forgiveness but transformation. His grace doesn’t leave us as we are; it teaches us to live differently — to renounce sin, to live uprightly, and to look forward to His return. In Him, the weary soul finds its true worth, not because of anything we’ve achieved, but because the Son of God counted us worth dying for. The grace that appeared that first Christmas is still appearing in lives today, calling us to holiness and hope.
