Song of Heaven

DAY 12 OF 28

O Holy Night

“The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger.”

The birth of Jesus reveals the upside-down nature of God’s kingdom. The true King entered the world not in royal robes but in a manger; the infinite born as an infant. Caesar ruled from a palace; Christ reigned from humility. In this moment, God demonstrated that His power is made perfect in weakness. The incarnation shows us that greatness in God’s eyes is marked by humility, service, and surrender. The King of kings chose the lowest place, to raise humanity to the highest — from death to life, from sin to salvation. In every generation, God continues to choose the humble, the overlooked, the yielded, to display His glory. The manger reminds us that God’s presence is not limited by prestige — it fills the ordinary with eternal purpose.

How might God be calling you to embrace humility and serve like Jesus in your everyday life?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for showing me what real greatness looks like. Help me to live humbly, serve others, and make room for You in every part of my life. I choose to honour You as my King today.
