Song of HeavenSample

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
Fully human in every way. This is surely the most comforting statement. Christ the King, just like us in our humanity. We were created in His image, yet He came in our likeness. He was tempted and suffered, just as we are tempted and suffer. He wept, just as we weep. He felt the pressures of life and of the expectations of others, as we do. He had family issues. He was misunderstood by His neighbours and friends, criticised and unfairly judged. Yet through it all, He broke the power of death and all its accomplices that we might be free.
Our merciful and High Priest, who has atoned and made amends for our sins, comes to us as one of us. We reflect on this in gratitude, knowing that we do not need to fear but are being helped by the One who has freed us all.
