We should be tenderhearted and compassionate towards those we come in contact with. It’s sometimes easier to be kind when we’re serving in ministry. We recognize that we should offer support and love to those we are trying to win to Christ, no matter who they are.
However, it can be a lot harder to show that same love and support towards a spouse, our child, family member, or fellow laborer. Maybe we do not see them as having the same needs as the people we are serving, but this should not be the case. Instead, God wants us to be tenderhearted in all of our relationships. How can we love those we are trying to win, if we do not first love those who are already a part of the body of Christ?
