Back to the Basics 365Sample

The Bible gives us direction in navigating social relationships. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 instructs us not to keep company with professing Christians who repeatedly engage in sinful behaviors. If a professing brother or sister in Christ persists in wrong behavior, we don’t show our love by socializing with them as if nothing is wrong, but rather, we are to lovingly correct them in the hope that it will bring them to repentance, and back to a closer relationship with God.
The Bible gives us instructions on how to move forward in these situations. We are to reprove the brother or sister in Christ who is doing wrong, and forgive them. However, if they do not repent, we are not to keep company with them.
