Back to the Basics 365Sample

Strive for the “wisdom that is from above”.
Lack of communication leads to a breakdown in relationships. To facilitate communication, we must be approachable and “easy to be intreated” (James 3:17). We should be quick to initiate restorative action when offenses arise. Many conflicts can be allayed with a quick, spirit-filled, in-person meeting in kindness to clarify the issue. James 3:17 tells us, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” Are you easy to be influenced, or compliant and easy to get along with, fostering solutions when misunderstandings arise, as opposed to making those misunderstandings into a bigger issue? James 3:18 says, “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” May we strive for the same.
