Obtaining Mercy

DAY 6 OF 7

Mercy and Lordship

Mercy flows from thrones. The blind men cried, “Son of David”—acknowledging Jesus’ royal lineage. They didn’t say “Son of Joseph.” They recognized His kingship. Mercy is not just about compassion—it’s about authority. To obtain mercy, we must submit to the lordship of Christ.

Romans 10:9–10 says we are saved by confessing Jesus as Lord. That confession is not just verbal—it’s agreement. It’s surrender. Mercy is accessed through submission. If Jesus is not Lord of your life, you’re not under His government—and mercy flows from government.

Many believers embrace Jesus as Savior but resist Him as Lord. They want forgiveness but not leadership. But mercy is tied to lordship. The degree to which God controls your life is the degree to which you’ve obtained mercy. To be led by God is mercy. To be warned by God is mercy. To be corrected is mercy.

Don’t fight for independence—fight for surrender. Mercy is not found in rebellion; it’s found in submission. The throne of grace is not a democracy—it’s a monarchy. And Jesus is King.

Prayer:

Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord. Rule over my thoughts, my choices, my desires. I submit to Your authority and receive the mercy that flows from Your throne. Let Your government bring peace and protection to my life.

About this Plan

Obtaining Mercy

This 7-day plan explores the depth of God’s mercy—what it is, how to receive it, and why it matters. Rooted in Hebrews 4:16, each day reveals mercy not just as forgiveness, but as divine help, healing, and strength. Whether you're broken, confused, or simply hungry for more of God, this journey will guide you to the throne of grace where mercy flows freely.
