Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

DAY 5 OF 12

God is our Peace

1. Spend a few moments praising God for being our Peace.

Definition: One who is the source of tranquility, quiet rest, contentment, and completeness

2. Next, spend a few moments silently confessing your sins to our loving God who forgives.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NASB)

3. Now, let's spend some time thanking our heavenly Father for the many ways He has been our Peace.

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)

4. Then, let us pray: God, may I not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let my requests be made known to You. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. From Philippians 4:6-7

Lastly, put your child’s name (or someone who needs prayer) in the scripture prayer: God, may ________ not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let his/her requests be made known to You. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard ________’s heart and mind through Christ Jesus. From Philippians 4:6-7

About this Plan

Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

Moms in Prayer uses the Four Steps of Prayer method to engage our hearts in relationship with our loving Father. Each day's plan calls us to focus on a unique attribute of God to help us keep Him at the center of this Christmas season. This plan uses the steps of Praise, Confession (Repentance), Thanksgiving, Intercession (asking for help with whatever we or our loved ones are facing). Each prayer is accompanied by Bible passages that give us a deeper understanding of God's attributes.
