Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

DAY 8 OF 12

God is Love

1. Spend a few moments praising God for His love.

Definition: One who possesses affection, benevolence, kindness, and faithfulness

2. Next, spend a few moments silently confessing your sins to our loving God who forgives.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NASB)

3. Now, let's spend some time thanking our heavenly Father for the many ways He has shown us His love.

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)

4. Then, let us pray: LORD our God, may I love You with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind and with all my strength. From Mark 12:30

Lastly, put your child’s name (or someone who needs prayer) in the scripture prayer: LORD our God, may ________ love You with all his/her heart and with all his/her soul and with all his/her mind and with all his/her strength. From Mark 12:30

About this Plan

Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

Moms in Prayer uses the Four Steps of Prayer method to engage our hearts in relationship with our loving Father. Each day's plan calls us to focus on a unique attribute of God to help us keep Him at the center of this Christmas season. This plan uses the steps of Praise, Confession (Repentance), Thanksgiving, Intercession (asking for help with whatever we or our loved ones are facing). Each prayer is accompanied by Bible passages that give us a deeper understanding of God's attributes.
