Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 345 OF 365

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, till He comes and rains righteousness on you (Hosea 10:12 NKJV).

What is the discerning eye of the Lord revealing about you?

Jesus examines our lives - not for the purpose of condemning His loved ones but to refine them. Jesus describes Himself as He “who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands” (Revelation 2:1 NKJV). The lampstands are churches (Revelation 1:20), and Jesus says to each one, “I know your works.”

What does God see in your heart today? Are there areas where He’s calling you to let go of sin or realign your priorities? God desires your whole heart, and surrendering to Him brings true freedom. Ask God to search your heart today. Align your life with His will.

Employment Point: Dedicate yourself to serving Jesus and await His rich rewards.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
