Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases (Song of Solomon 2:7 NKJV).
Do you understand and embrace your current season in life?
In the Song of Solomon, we see the wisdom of understanding and navigating different life stages, including marriage. Paul, too, talked about different seasons and focused on using his unattached single status for the glory of God. The apostle’s singleness permits him to focus solely upon his spiritual children: “For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children” (2 Corinthians 12:14 NKJV).
Whatever season you’re in, are you using it wisely? Whether in relationship or singleness, each phase has its own purpose. Reflect on how you can best serve God in your current situation and make the most of this season for His glory.
Employment Point: Use your season of life wisely for God’s glory.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
