Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 259 OF 365

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9 NKJV).

Do you serve others with your strength?

Proverbs 31 describes a virtuous woman who uses her inner and outer strength to serve her family and community. In the same way, Boaz praised a virtuous woman named Ruth for her sacrificial service to her mother-in-law Naomi.

How are you using your own strength to serve others? Whether in your family, at work, or in your community, God calls us to serve with both our inner and outer strength. Look for opportunities to bless others. Reflect on how you can use your abilities to make a positive impact and show God’s love through your actions.

Employment Point: Sacrificially serve others with your inner and outer strength to be virtuous in God’s eyes.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
