Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13 NKJV).
How should you protect yourself from deceivers?
Satan employs corrupt ambassadors to spread lies, as seen in the church at Corinth. The master deceiver led false apostles to Corinth to manipulate the saints. They have a “different spirit” and preach a “different gospel” (see 2 Corinthians 11:4 NKJV). Just as Solomon warned of humanity’s susceptibility to sin (Ecclesiastes 7:29), Paul advised the Corinthians to guard against deception by evaluating everything through God’s Word.
Are you diligent in studying the Bible to discern truth from lies? Strengthen your understanding of Scripture to stand firm against false teachings. Make time for regular Bible study and prayer, equipping yourself to recognize and resist deception effectively.
Employment Point: Study your Bible daily to discern the truth from Satan’s manifold lies.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
