Your New Identity

Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi…grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:1-2, NASB

You have a high calling in God’s kingdom. You are a saint. God has forever changed your identity, making you holy, consecrated, and set apart. That’s what it means to be a saint.

Those who are meant to fly with wings of eagles cannot spend their time in the barnyard dirt of the world. Saints can’t live in the world’s ways. Always remember who you are as you go about the responsibilities in your day. You are the Lord’s saint. Understanding your identity does not make you arrogant but gives you a true focus on reality. Realizing your calling will help you recognize God’s choices for you. You will instantly see the ways of the world are beneath one who belongs to Christ. God will help you say no to many good things in order to say yes to His best. So today, dear friend, remember you are a saint.

Lord, help me remember today that I am a saint. Amen.
