Down but Not Out

I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word. My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?

Psalm 119:81-82, NLT

Your wait for God’s rescue may sometimes seem interminable. In fact, trials can last so long that eventually, no one offers you any more hopeful encouragement. Friend, when no one else has a promise for you, a promise remains in God’s Word. You may be down, but you’re not out. And though all others may have given up on you, God’s presence with you is certain.

Nothing is impossible with God. And He gives you thousands of promises in His Word to revive your heart, giving you what you need to stand strong. So never give up, dear friend. God always keeps His promises. Longer waits often lead to greater rescues. You can count on God to come through and accomplish His rescue in His time.

Lord, I am waiting for You, and today I put my hope in Your Word. Amen.
