Heart to Heart with the Lord

The Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.

Exodus 33:11, NASB

Did you know that you are invited to the inner circle of friendship with God? Moses enjoyed a special friendship with God, because “the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend (Exod. 33:11, NASB). His face to face relationship with God meant a heart-to-heart friendship. Moses was invited to share God’s heart and experience communion with the Lord. They were close, spent much time together, and their friendship developed and grew. You can also enjoy this special friendship with your Lord. Jesus said, “If anyone really loves me, he will observe my teaching, and my Father will love him, and both of us will come in face-to-face fellowship with him…” (John 14:23 WMS). In your quiet time, savor this inner circle of friendship with God where you share His heart and experience His grace and mercy.

Lord, thank You for loving me and desiring an intimate friendship where I can pour out my heart to You and share Your heart. Amen.
