Lessons From Christ’s Final WeekSample

Christ's Glorious Resurrection!
"He is not here; He has risen, just as He said…" Imagine the women's relief and utter shock at the sight of an angel standing before them in an empty tomb—the very place where they had laid His body two days prior. Jesus Himself met them on the road, granting them the honor of being the first to see Him in His risen body! Death had been overcome, the grave conquered, and the King once again proved His Word to be true. The One who is "the Word of God in the flesh" demonstrated that the same power that breathed everything into existence has the authority not only to create life, but to resurrect it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your Son, You triumphed over death and the grave! Thank You for offering us the promise of eternal life! I ask for the release of Your resurrection power to flow in and through me. Christ, our Risen King, we exalt You as the One True God, both now and forever more. Amen.
Personal Reflection
- Reflect on the glorious victory of Jesus over death. Where am I needing God's resurrection power to manifest in my own life or the life of another?
- What tombs do I believe will be emptied?
