Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 28 – Blessing Your Children with Your Words
Scripture: “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” – Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)
Reflection
Our words have the power to shape our children’s hearts. A blessing spoken over them can encourage, strengthen, and even set the direction for their lives. Just as God spoke blessings over His people in scripture, we too can release life through our words.
It is easy to correct or criticize, but our children also need to hear encouragement, affirmation, and prayer spoken over them. A consistent stream of life-giving words will help them believe what God says about them even when the world says otherwise.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will be blessed and strengthened by the words spoken over them.”
Prayer
Lord, help me to use my words to bless and build up my children. May I speak life and truth into their hearts every day. Let my words reflect Your love and shape their future for good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Speak a specific blessing over your child today. Say something like, “You are loved, you are chosen, and you will fulfill God’s purpose.”
Scripture
