Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 24 – Helping Them Hear God’s Voice
Scripture: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27 (NIV)
Reflection
One of the greatest skills we can teach our children is how to recognize God’s voice. In a noisy world full of opinions and distractions, learning to hear from God will anchor them for life.
Children can learn to hear God in simple ways. It might be through reading scripture, through a gentle thought or nudge in their heart, or through the encouragement of others. When we help them practice listening for God and test what they hear against His Word, we set them up to develop their own relationship with Him.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will know God’s voice and follow Him with confidence.”
Prayer
Lord, help my children to hear Your voice clearly. Teach them to know the difference between Your truth and the noise of the world. May they grow to follow You with trust and obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Ask your child a simple question like, “What do you think God might be saying about this situation?” Then encourage them to pray and look to scripture for the answer.
