Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 25 – Raising Leaders, Not Followers
Scripture: “Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)
Reflection
The world pushes children to follow the crowd, but God calls them to lead by example. Leadership is not about titles or positions. It is about living with integrity, courage, and influence. Even from a young age, children can show leadership by choosing kindness, standing for truth, and treating others with respect.
As parents, we can nurture leadership by encouraging confidence, teaching responsibility, and giving opportunities to make choices. When we remind our children that they are examples to others, we call out the leader that God has already placed inside them.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children are leaders who will set an example in speech, love, faith, and purity.”
Prayer
Lord, raise my children to be leaders who honor You. Give them courage to live differently from the crowd and to influence others for good. May their lives shine as examples of faith and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Give your child a small leadership responsibility today, such as leading a family prayer or helping a sibling. Affirm their effort as an example of godly leadership.
