Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 27 – Teaching Kingdom Values in Everyday Life
Scripture: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
Reflection
The values we live out at home shape how our children see the world. Kingdom values like love, honesty, generosity, and forgiveness do not just come from lessons. They come from daily choices that our children see and experience.
When we forgive quickly, give generously, or speak kindly, our kids notice. When we talk about why we make these choices, we connect our actions to God’s Kingdom. Over time, these values become their own. Our children learn that living for God’s Kingdom is not just the best way, it is the only way that truly satisfies.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will seek God’s Kingdom first and live by His values.”
Prayer
Lord, teach me to model Kingdom values in my words and actions. May my children see Your Kingdom lived out in our home and choose to follow Your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Choose one Kingdom value to emphasize today. For example, talk about forgiveness after a conflict or generosity when giving. Show it in action.
