Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 22 – Discovering Your Child’s Gifts
Scripture: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” – Romans 12:6 (NIV)
Reflection
Every child has been created with unique gifts and talents. Some are creative; some are natural leaders; some are compassionate; and some are thinkers or problem solvers. Our role as parents is to pay attention and help uncover what God has placed inside them.
It can be tempting to compare our children to others, but God’s plan is not for them to be copies. He designed them with specific strengths to serve His purpose. When we encourage their gifts and create space for them to grow, we are partnering with God in preparing them for their destiny.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children are uniquely gifted by God and their gifts will be used for His purpose.”
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the gifts You have placed in my children. Help me to notice and nurture them. Teach me to encourage my children in ways that lead them closer to You and Your purpose for their lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Notice one gift or strength in your child today. Point it out to them and encourage them by saying, “I see this in you, and I believe God will use it.”
