Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 20 – Helping Kids Resist Peer Pressure
Scripture: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Reflection
Peer pressure is real, and our children will face it in many forms. Whether it is about what they wear, what they watch, or how they behave, the pressure to “fit in” can be strong. As parents, our role is to equip them to think differently and make choices that honor God.
We can give them tools by teaching them God’s Word, practicing responses, and encouraging them to stand strong. Most of all, we can remind them that they do not have to stand alone. God is with them, and we are with them too.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will resist peer pressure and choose to follow God’s ways.”
Prayer
Father, protect my children from negative peer pressure. Give them strength to say no when needed and courage to stand firm in their faith. Fill their hearts with Your truth so they are not swayed by the crowd. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Role-play with your child today. Give them a simple scenario of peer pressure and help them practice a confident, godly response.
