Ignite: 5 Days to Awaken the Fire of God Within YouSample

Step Into the Fire
Verse: “And it came to pass… that Elijah the prophet came near and said… Then the fire of the Lord fell.” —1 Kings 18:36, 38 (NKJV)
Devotional:
Fire falls on the altar—but you must draw near. Many stay at a distance from God’s presence because they fear what He might ask or expose. But the fire of the Holy Spirit doesn’t consume to destroy—it consumes to empower. It burns away the flesh and awakens your calling.
Don’t be content to watch the fire from afar. Step into it. The closer you get, the more refined and ignited you become. Let the Holy Spirit take you deeper than comfort ever could.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I choose to come near. I trust that Your fire will not harm me, but transform me. Burn away what doesn’t belong and stir up what You have placed in me.
Reflection Questions:
1. What keeps you from drawing closer to God’s fire?
2. In what ways is the Spirit calling you to step nearer?
3. What would full surrender look like for you today?
