DAY 9 OF 11

You Can Give Regularly

Imagine if you only brushed your teeth once a year. Yikes! Your teeth would not be very happy. Some things are important to do regularly, like brushing your teeth, eating healthy food, or getting enough sleep.

Giving is one of those things, too. If we only give once in a while, we miss out on the joy of making generosity a habit. The Bible says, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income” (1 Corinthians 16:2, NIV). The early church made giving a weekly rhythm, so they were always ready to support God’s work.

The Bible also says, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10, NIV). Opportunities to give are all around us. Maybe a classmate forgets their lunch, a friend needs a kind word, or a neighbor needs help with their yard. When we make giving a regular part of our lives, we start to notice these moments quicker.

Hebrews reminds us, “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased” (Hebrews 13:16, NIV). Life can get busy with school, sports, and activities, and sometimes we forget. Regular giving helps keep generosity at the center of our lives, instead of something we only think about once in a while.

Regular giving doesn’t just mean money. You can regularly offer encouragement, prayers, help with chores, or even hugs to someone who needs them. When you give regularly, you’re showing God’s love every single day—just like He shows His love to you every day.

Challenge:
Pick one simple way you can give regularly this week. Maybe it’s helping set the table every night, praying for a friend each day, or writing one encouraging note every morning. Try it out and see how giving regularly makes a big difference!

About this Plan

Giving Challenge Kids

The Giving Challenge Kids 11-Day Bible Plan helps children learn to live with a generous heart, just like Jesus. Using the H.E.A.R.T. acronym—Happily, Eternally, Abundantly, Regularly, and Today—kids will explore five ways Jesus gives and how they can follow His example. Each day features engaging stories, simple Bible readings, and fun challenges that make generosity easy to practice. As they learn to give with joy, kids will discover that life is richer when it’s shared and that giving blesses both others and themselves.
