DAY 7 OF 11

You Can Give Abundantly

Have you ever tried to water a plant with just a tiny drip? It would take forever to grow! But when you give it a big splash of water, the plant soaks it up and comes to life. That’s the difference between giving a little and giving abundantly.

Abundant giving means giving freely, joyfully, and more than what seems “just enough.” You don’t need to be rich or famous to give abundantly. Abundance isn’t about the size of the gift. It’s about the size of the heart behind it.

The Bible says, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8, NIV). This means that God gives you everything. Your time, your words, your kindness, even your toys aren’t just for you. They’re meant to be shared!

Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap” (Luke 6:38, NIV). That’s like when you pack popcorn into a bucket and keep shaking it until it overflows! God loves to fill us up so we can overflow to others.

The Bible also reminds us, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25, NIV). When you give abundantly, you don’t lose. You gain joy, peace, and a full heart.

When you give abundantly, you’re showing the world that you trust God to always take care of you. And you’ll be surprised at how much joy comes back to you in return!

Challenge:
Find one way today to give abundantly. Perhaps it’s giving more time to a sibling, showing extra kindness to a friend, or donating more than you initially planned. Do it with a big heart and watch how God fills you back up!

About this Plan

Giving Challenge Kids

The Giving Challenge Kids 11-Day Bible Plan helps children learn to live with a generous heart, just like Jesus. Using the H.E.A.R.T. acronym—Happily, Eternally, Abundantly, Regularly, and Today—kids will explore five ways Jesus gives and how they can follow His example. Each day features engaging stories, simple Bible readings, and fun challenges that make generosity easy to practice. As they learn to give with joy, kids will discover that life is richer when it’s shared and that giving blesses both others and themselves.
