Growing Multigenerational FaithSample

The Great Commission says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
When we look at the Great Commission, we see Jesus inviting us to bring disciples into the Kingdom. We get the privilege of passing on the good news to our children and them to theirs - knowing this, how can the Great Commission be anything other than generational? With this fact in mind, the Great Commission instructs us as believers to make disciples of every age, tribe, and tongue. That must include every generation!
So let us go with these truths in mind and live out a generational faith, making disciples of the coming generations so they may live out the Great Commission as well.

Questions to Consider
- How does the Great Commission impact your relationships with those of younger generations?
- What would help pass on the good news of Jesus to those not in your generation?
Actions to Take
- Pray for God to show you how to reach other generations for His Kingdom.
- Tell someone from another generation part of your story of faith.
Prayer to Make
Lord, thank you for the hope of your Great Commission. I thank you that your grace, truth, and presence are with us always through all generations until your return. Amen.
