Unity

Unity in the church is a reflection of God’s heart. It is not about uniformity—where everyone looks, thinks, and acts the same—but about deep connection despite differences. True unity is a bond that transcends personal preferences, cultural barriers, and even past wounds. It is built on love, humility, and a shared pursuit of Jesus.

During the OneRace Movement, I saw firsthand how unity requires more than just agreeing on theology or values—it demands humility and repentance. We had to confront biases, lay down pride, and genuinely listen to one another. Unity wasn’t about erasing differences but about embracing one another in love and choosing reconciliation over division. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

Jesus prayed that His followers would be one, just as He and the Father are one (John 17:21). Our unity is not just for us—it is a witness to the world of God’s love.

Unity starts with the small choices we make every day—to love, to listen, to forgive, and to see one another through the eyes of Christ.

Prayer: Jesus, fill my heart with humility and love, making me a peacemaker who reflects Your grace in every interaction. Amen.
