Seven Seeds for FlourishingSample

Devotion
The early believers were devoted—not casually interested but fully committed. They immersed themselves in Scripture, prayer, and fellowship, making their faith the foundation of their daily lives. Their devotion was not a duty but a deep desire to know God more and live in His presence.
I remember a time in my life when I read through the Bible in just four months, consuming large portions daily. At first, it was a challenge, but soon, it became a source of joy. The more I read, the more I craved. It wasn’t just about gaining knowledge—it was about encountering God in a fresh way. That season reshaped my thinking, refined my heart, and deepened my relationship with Him.
Devotion isn’t about checking spiritual boxes; it’s about pursuing God with a heart that longs for Him. When we love someone, we prioritize time with them. What would it look like for you to seek God with that same intentionality? How is your spiritual appetite? Are you devoted or distracted? What small step can you take today to realign your heart toward Him?
Prayer: Jesus, stir my heart to love You more deeply. Let my devotion be rooted in joy, not duty. In Your name, amen.
Reflection:
- What does devotion look like in my life right now?
- What is keeping me from deeper intimacy with Jesus?
- How can I respond to God’s love today?
- Today I will choose...
