The meaning of life: I must have a purpose and a reason to exist.

I am needed

For life to have meaning, I need to know that I am needed and that there is a reason for my existence. I need to know that there are people who are counting on me to be there and to help them.

When people feel that the world doesn’t need them and nobody is benefiting from their existence, life becomes meaningless.

In Ephesians 2:10 (BSB), God says: For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. Another paraphrase translation (TPT) translates it as follows: Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfil it!

What does it mean? God says, “I created you to do good works. I created you to be a blessing to other people. I created you because there are people who need you. You have a unique set of gifts, skills, and talents to do things that nobody else can do.”

Yes, you say, but how do I know what it is?

First: You need to be in the right relationship with God.

Second: You need to accept the fact that you are not an accident and that you are needed. You have been purposefully created and designed to do things that only you can do.

Third: Don't try to be someone else with their gifts and position. When you do this, your unique place becomes empty, and the people around you suffer because you're not doing what only you can do.

Fourth: Seek a place where you feel "fulfilled" when you do the things you believe you should do. The question should never be how "important" the things I'm busy with are. In the context of this study, the work of a senior manager is not more important than that of a supervisor or a junior clerk. The most important thing is to know that what I do is exactly what God created me to do.

Fifth: To find your purpose, you must learn to serve. If you're not willing to serve others, you will always remain unfulfilled.
