The Helmet.... Shut Down Guilt and Lies

If there’s one thing the enemy loves to attack first, it’s your mind. He knows if he can get in your head, he can mess with how you see yourself, your kids, and your calling as a parent.

It starts with guilt. That voice that says, “You’re failing. You’re messing them up. You’re too harsh. You’re too soft. You’ll never get this right.” And you replay it over and over until guilt turns into shame and shame keeps you stuck.

This is why God gave you the Helmet of Salvation to protect your mind from every lie that says you’re not enough. Salvation doesn’t just mean you’re forgiven for eternity, it means you’re covered right now. Covered when you snap. Covered when you overreact. Covered when you have to go back and apologize for saying it wrong.

When you put on the helmet, you remind the enemy: My mind belongs to Jesus, not to you. Guilt might knock on your door but you don’t have to invite it in.

Don’t parent uncovered. Guard your thoughts like your peace depends on it, because it does.
