Overcoming Spiritual DisconnectednessSample

Feeding on God’s Word
Spending time in God’s Word is as essential to our spiritual lives as food is to our natural bodies. Neglecting time in reading our Bibles, over time, will result in us becoming spiritually weak. This also contributes to us feeling distant from God.
God’s Word is not just a book—it is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). It speaks to our hearts, renews our minds, and guides our steps. When we prioritize Bible reading, we equip ourselves with truth that combats spiritual dryness and rekindles our relationship with Him. Even if it’s just a few verses a day, engaging with Scripture will draw us closer to God.
Testimony
Linda realized that she had neglected her Bible for months. She used to read it daily, but busyness occupied her time and mind. She began to feel spiritually lost and disconnected. One day, she decided to start again by reading just one chapter a day. As she did, only after a few days, she started feeling spiritually refreshed and connected to God again.
Pray
Father, forgive me for neglecting spending time in the Word. Please give me a hunger for Your Word. Help me to treasure it, meditate on it, and be transformed by its truth. Amen.

About this Plan

Have you ever felt distant from God, as if your prayers don’t go past the ceiling? Spiritual disconnectedness can happen to anyone, leaving us feeling dry, discouraged, and directionless. We may still believe in God, but our hearts can feel disconnected from Him. Truth is, God will never abandon us (Matthew 28:20). He does, however, desire an intimate relationship with us. In this 7 Day Devotional plan, we explore practical, Biblical steps to overcome spiritual dryness, rekindle our love for Jesus, and experience His presence afresh.
