Removing Spiritual Blockages

Sometimes, spiritual dryness is caused by unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or burdens we refuse to release. Such things can become barriers between us and God. Just as a clogged pipe blocks the flow of water, sin and bitterness can block the flow of God's presence in our lives. We do not need to be perfect to be acceptable before the Lord, but He does call us to live in repentance on a daily basis. We all stumble daily. When we bring our sins, struggles, and wounds before Him, He cleanses us and restores our fellowship with Him.

Testimony

Michael harbored bitterness toward a friend who had wronged him. His prayers felt empty and he struggled to hear from God. One day, during prayer, he felt convicted to forgive. As he released his anger, he felt a breakthrough—his prayers were no longer hindered and he felt close to God again.

Pray

Father, please reveal anything in my heart that hinders my relationship with You. I openly confess my sins and ask for the Blood of Jesus to cleanse me from all my sin and shame. Help me to walk in holiness and grace. Amen.
