RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16Sample

RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16

DAY 14 OF 31

Listening, Seeing, Serving

Today’s readings invite us to a deeper awareness—a call to truly listen, to really see, and then to act. In Amos 3, God asks, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” (Amos 3:3 ESV). It’s a reminder that a relationship with God calls us into alignment—not just belief but obedience that produces fruit. God’s people are called to be attentive to His voice and to respond with faithful action.

In Mark, Jesus performs miracles that reveal both compassion and power. He feeds the hungry and opens blind eyes—demonstrating that following Him means meeting real needs, both physical and spiritual.

As followers of Christ and members of the church, we are invited to consider: How can we listen more closely to God’s call in our communities? What is one step you can take to serve others this week—bringing healing, hope, or provision?

True faith moves beyond hearing into doing. Today, ask God to show you where to walk and serve with Him.

About this Plan

RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16

This 16th installment of our Reading with the People of God plan invites you into the voices of the Minor Prophets—Hosea through Nahum—calling God’s people to return with sincerity and trust. Paired with the Gospel of Mark, we’ll hear Christ’s invitation to repentance and renewed faith. Each day includes readings from Psalms, the Old Testament, and the New Testament, with a brief devotional primer. May these readings draw you nearer to the Lord, awaken your heart to His mercy, and echo His faithful call: “Return to Me.”
