God’s Little Oceanographer: A 5-Day Reading Plan for KidsSample

Day 5 God’s Ocean of Love
“Every seashell, turtle hatchling, dolphin, and crab is a reminder of our great and creative God. Yet you are His most wonderful and special creation.”
Stand in Awe:
Little oceanographer, have you taken a close look at seashells? They are unique in shape, pattern, and design. Yet, of all the seashells on the shore and all the ocean animals, great and small, YOU are God's most special creation. His love for you is deeper than the depths of the ocean.
Discuss:
Take a walk along the beach. Collect seashells and inspect them. What do seashells tell you about God? Glue the seashells on a picture frame and display your favorite photo to remember that you are God’s special creation.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for seashells and ocean creatures. Thank You for creating me. Your love is deeper than the ocean. I love You. Amen.
About this Plan

Based on Tina Cho’s picture book, this reading plan will help kids appreciate God’s creation of the ocean and all the living creatures. Young oceanographers will understand that God's creation reflects His love for them. God's glory is revealed in the ocean and its content, but His children matter most. This plan can be done with kids and parents to foster curiosity about ocean science and to appreciate God’s handiwork and love.
