Essential and Unshakable

DAY 6 OF 30

Be Relentless

Sunday reminds us of the victory of the Cross, the power of the Resurrection, and God’s sovereignty over every part of our life and work.

We need that good news because on Monday, it’s back to work. Guiding your organization, leading your team, serving with excellence, and doing the work God called you to.

At kitchen tables, in home offices, in co-working spaces, or in the office, you work to make an eternal difference for the glory of God and the good of others.

What are the three things you can do to overcome a disrupted routine?

1. Stay focused:

“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.” – Galatians 6:4-5 NLT

Circumstances may force you to change how you work and adapt to extraordinary circumstances. Perhaps you’ve been asked to go above and beyond yourself. Sunday worship was refreshing, but you still need strength and endurance to work as worship throughout the week.

2. Don’t give up:

“We can’t allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way. Certainly, each of us will receive everlasting life at the proper time, if we don’t give up. Whenever we have the opportunity, we have to do what is good for everyone, especially for the family of believers.” – Galatians 6: 9-10, NLT

3. Be Relentless: You will get through each moment and each day by the power of the resurrection!

Ask yourself:

What are two specific things I must do to stay strong when doing good for others is more draining than refreshing?

For reflection:

Father, remind me daily that the opportunity to work from home is a blessing. Fill me with joy whether I’m talking with people face-to-face or through a camera. I acknowledge that my work is worship, no matter where and when. Amen.
