Pathways to PurposeSample

As a parent, you never stopthinking about your child. Even when they're asleep, you might have a baby monitor on, straining to hear every sound. Or maybe as they go to school, you are thinking how of they will go in their exams today. You’re mindful of them constantly—not because you have to be, but because you love them, and because they are yours.

Here is a fun fact: that’s how God thinks about you! Psalm 8:4 is David’s way of saying, “Why would the God of the universe keep His eyes on me?” But He does—because we are His children. His love doesn’t take breaks. His care is constant. His Fatherhood is stable.

Whether you're a parent or not, you’ve likely seen the deep, watchful care a loving parent gives. That’s how God watches over you. And we get to inherit that truth as believers of Christ. We get to partake in the family of Christ, because of His love for us.

Today, rest in this truth: you are seen, known, and held close. If you’re feeling unseen or exhausted, know that your Father is still tuned in—He hasn't taken His eyes off you. Spend some time asking God about who He says you are, and ask Him to highlight specific verses to you for you to hook your faith into.

Prayer

Lord, I thank You that You are mindful of me. I thank You that You care so deeply for me. Would You open my eyes and my heart to the depth of Your love, that I may walk in Your will for me. Amen.
