Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Sample

Are you prepared to follow Jesus even when it costs you?
Jesus doesn’t sugarcoat discipleship—He warns His followers they will be like sheep among wolves. They will be opposed, betrayed, and persecuted. Yet, in the face of danger, He tells them not to be anxious. “The Spirit of your Father will speak through you.”
The glory of God is seen not only in miracles and power but in His presence with His people in suffering. Jesus Himself walked this road first. The world opposed, rejected and persecuted Him, and His followers will face the same. But Jesus does not send them out alone—He sends the Spirit to go with them.
Today, ponder this: When opposition comes, will you trust that Jesus is worth it?
