Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Sample

What do you do when life with Jesus doesn’t look like you expected?
John the Baptist, the very one who proclaimed Jesus as the Lamb of God, is now in prison. Doubts creep in—if Jesus is the Messiah, why hasn’t He brought deliverance? Jesus responds, not with rebuke, but with evidence: “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.” These words echo Isaiah 35:5-6, proving that the promised Kingdom of God is here.
But Jesus also warns: “Blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” God’s ways do not always align with human expectations, but His plan is never failing. The least in His Kingdom will know a glory even greater than John’s prophetic role.
Today, ponder this: When you face seasons of doubt, will you trust Jesus’ words even when circumstances seem uncertain?
