DAY 115 OF 365

Tear Tracker Tears are very significant. They represent our most honest and earnest reactions to life. We shed tears when we're significantly and sincerely touched by something. They're a type of mile-marker-a touchstone of sorts-for the most meaningful moments in our lives. When you cry, it means something really matters to you. In this Bible passage, it says that God holds our tears in a bottle. This is God's way of telling us that He's keeping track of the times and things that truly touch us. The pain of losing a loved one, the bitter taste of being betrayed by a friend, the overwhelming sense that life is more than we can bear...our Heavenly Father sees it all, and He's keeping track of our tears. And beyond that, His awareness isn't that of an impersonal omniscient being. God doesn't take note of those times in our lives because it's part of His job description as an all-knowing God. He does it because He wants to. He's an ever-loving Father, and He keeps track of His children. He loves us, and the things that move us to tears move Him. Allow that seed to take root in your heart. God loves you so much that the things that touch you touch him. He doesn't distance Himself in times of distress. He comes close and tracks your every tear. Thank you, Father, for keeping track of our tears and for loving us so much that the things that move us move you. May we remember this when things get rough and we're tempted to feel all alone. Our God is an ever-loving Father, and He keeps track of His children. He loves us, and the things that move us to tears move Him. Think about it... What does this passage reveal to me about God? What does this passage reveal to me about myself? Based on this, what changes do I need to make? What is my prayer for today?
