REDEMPTION HAS COME
Listen to “Redemption Has Come.”
A child, abandoned and alone, stares out of the window of the group home. They’ve stopped counting how many times they’ve been overlooked, how many families have come and gone, never choosing them. “Unwanted” is the only name they know. Until one day, a man walks in with kind eyes and a warm smile. He kneels and speaks softly, “I’ve come for you.” The child barely looks up, convinced it’s too good to be true. But then, the man pulls out papers—legal documents with the child’s name on them. “You are mine now,” he says. “You don’t have to earn this. I have chosen you, and I will never leave you.” He hands them a new last name, a new home, and a new future. No longer an orphan, that child is a son. A daughter. A beloved child.
That child’s story is our story. Spiritually, we were once abandoned, alone, and without a home. Our sin had separated us from our true Father, leaving us longing for something we could never earn—belonging, identity, love. But then Jesus stepped in. He didn’t just invite us into His family; He signed the adoption papers with His own blood.
So why do so many of us still live as if we’re spiritual orphans? We question our worth, thinking we have to prove ourselves to God. We hesitate to embrace His love, believing we still need to earn our place in His family. But here’s the truth: Redemption has already come. The adoption is final. The papers are signed. We don’t have to fight for love—we are already loved. We don’t have to work for approval—we are already accepted. We don’t have to fear rejection—our Father will never leave us.
Redemption isn’t just a rescue; it’s a complete restoration. Not only are we welcomed into His family, but we’ve been set free. Set free from lies, guilt, and shame. The cost of our sin is death and separation from our creator. But Jesus paid the price with His own blood so that we could be His forever. His love is not hesitant or conditional. It is relentless, sacrificial, and unshakable. The cross was not a temporary fix—it was the final word. Because of Jesus, we are not just forgiven; we are made new. We are not just spared from punishment; we are brought into His family. This is who He is: the One who rescues, the One who restores, the One who calls us His own. Redemption has come, and it is only by Jesus—Jesus alone.
One of the best ways to seal this truth in your heart is through worship. As you listen to or sing “Redemption Has Come,” let its words be your declaration: You are no longer an orphan. You are no longer a prisoner. So lift your voice. Lift your eyes. Redemption isn’t a distant hope. It isn’t just a concept—it’s a reality. And it’s yours in Christ.

Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing me when I had nothing to offer. Thank You for paying the highest price to adopt me as Your own. I confess that I’ve sometimes lived like an orphan—doubting Your love, questioning my worth, and striving for what You’ve already given. But today, I choose to believe the truth: I am Yours. My past no longer defines me, my failures do not disqualify me, and my identity is secure in You. Help me to live in the freedom, joy, and confidence of a child who is fully known, fully loved, and fully redeemed. In Jesus’ name, amen.
