QUIET YOUR SOUL IN CREATION

Often times, God speaks when your soul is quiet. The Lord is a jealous God, and He desires to have your attention and affection. You were made to worship, pray to, and love on the King of kings. However, it is possible to become distracted by many things, EVEN the good things the Lord has put in your life for a purpose.

When we become distracted, it can be hard to hear what God is saying. God desires to go away with you, to speak to you when your soul is not too busy with things that occupy it. As you connect with God through creation, let it be a time where you escape from the busyness and chaos of the world and re-align your focus to God, the Creator of all things!

PRAYER

Lord, I put away all distraction and choose to be still. Just like the waves were calmed by Your voice, calm my heartbeat with Your voice. You make mountains low and valleys high, so right now, make me level-headed and focused on Your voice. Speak to me through Your creation. Your servant is listening. Amen.

APPLICATION

As you go out in creation, silence your soul. This can look like taking a piece of paper and writing down everything that is distracting you, or turning your phone on “do not disturb” to fully engage with the Lord.

Take all the things pulling your attention and turn your eyes towards the One who is deserving of everything!
