Day 20: The Good Samaritan – Strength to Love Beyond Borders
Scripture: Luke 10:25-37
Key Verse: “But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.” – Luke 10:33
Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan is more than a lesson in kindness; it’s a call to radical, selfless love. The Samaritan went to help a wounded stranger, crossing cultural and social boundaries to show mercy.
Loving others isn’t always convenient. It requires strength to put aside our comfort, time, and prejudices to care for those in need. The Samaritan didn’t just help the man; he went the extra mile to ensure his full recovery.
Jesus calls us to love as He loves, without limits. True strength isn’t found in power or status but compassion and action. Who is God calling you to love today?
Prayer Focus: Pray for the strength to love others selflessly, even when inconvenient or uncomfortable.

About this Plan

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
